Cactus ‘leather’, made from organic cactus leaves, is a plant-based leather alternative to animal derived skins. It’s an innovative ‘vegan leather’ which is used in the manufacturing of handbags, purses and fashion accessories.
The Cactus is grown and processed in Mexico, and is a cactus-based sustainable material, made by harvesting cactus leaves and extracting proteins and fibers to make an organic bio resin which then is coated on a carrier.
Cactus leather reduces the use of natural resources and is free of toxic chemicals, phthalates, and PVC. It’s a durable vegan friendly material, which is getting more traction within the fashion accessory industry.
